The last time I wrote to you all was the beginning of 2024. Since then, a lot has changed. We had our third child, Ramsey, named after Nathalie Emmanuel’s character in the Fast and Furious trilogy. She’s a mama’s girl who rarely wants anything to do with me, and she is now 6 months old.

I’ve been really busy since our last encounter. I’ve improved my garage, adding tools, a work bench, peg boards, and woodworking tools. We built a scuttlehole in the garage to give us access to our attic for storage. More importantly, I’ve made zero progress on the El Camino. That’s not to say I haven’t gotten new parts. In fact, I’ve got a welder and an appointment with a professional welder (in case I can’t learn in time) to finish cutting and installing the new passenger side floor pan.
On top of all of this, I’ve decided to punish myself by taking up skateboarding again. Can my 34 year old body take the slams and trips to the pavement it could take in my teens and early 20s? I guess we’ll find out.
Perhaps MOST importantly is my family’s spiritual journey in the Orthodox Christian faith. My wife and I are “courting” a couple, hoping to ask them to be the godparents to my daughters. We’ve chosen the names Nektaria (Nektarios) and Perpetua.
