About
This campaign will endeavor to get schools to provide tourniquets and Stop The Bleed training to all teachers, starting in Maricopa, AZ.

Stop The Bleed
Save a Life.
What’s My Goal?
My goal is to help supply teachers with the necessary first aid tools to save the lives of children during any mass casualty event.
How?
Through education, fundraising, and lobbying, I will seek to bring Stop The Bleed, or related courses and trauma kits to Maricopa Teachers, and eventually into all schools.
Why?

November 30, 2012, Adam Lanza entered Sandy Hook Elementary school at 9:35 AM. 10 minutes later police entered the building. Of those that died that day, twenty were children (1st grade) and six were very brave adults who attempted to protect the children in their care.
An adult male will bleed to death in less than 5 minutes1. When asked, Maricopa PD could not give a response time for their officers, but quoted 7-10 minutes for the Maricopa Fire Department.
In the event of a mass casualty event, medical personnel must wait until the scene is clear before victims can be evacuated or medical assistance can be provided. However, teachers are the first on the scene and with proper training and supplies, will be able to rescue wounded children immediately.
